But we don't know the substance of the allegations. It could be:
1. I was raped, against
2. Well I was sitting on the bed at the time and that wasn't no rape.
You assume the second is not first hand, but we don't know.

It's going to be interesting.
How will the notion of chivalry co-exist with the notion of equality? (not just in rights) There's be some double standards called out and levels of confusion and periods of adjustment.
There's also the younger blue collar generation where the gender roles still seem solidly fixed. Woman cooks and does the housework. Interestingly now that my son is living alone, some of the partially remembered cooking lessons I gave him as a kid are being forcibly dragged back to front of mind as there's no one there to cook for him and he knows he can't live on take away. Also, at least part of the reason why my daughter broke up with her BF a few months back is that while he was home from work (on TAC) with some pretty bad pain in the upper back and neck, he sat on his arse all day and did nothing around the house. he wasn't crippled, he was capable of washing dishes or even hanging out a load of washing, but he just sat on his arse all day assuming my daughter would clean up after she got home from work. She only took that for so long.
I hope we end up at a point where it's just clearly acknowledged that men and women are not the same, they are different both physically and chemically which in turn creates other differences, but that when it comes to human rights everyone should be treated equally regardless of gender, race, religion etc.
An activist movement wanting something different to that is going to cause some pain.

Deep throat being stopped at Astor theatre. Peter Rabbit being boycotted because of concerns about food allergies. How effin precious have these dickheads become. I wonder if the nazis began by burning books? Nobody is forcing anyone to watch anything nor read anything. Golliwogs removed from a Cairns toyshop.
African Queen. Mysogynist drunk. Ban. Gone with the Wind. Racist, ban. Casablanca. Gambling and anti german. Ban. On the Waterfront. Violent .Ban. Marx Bros films. Demeaning to fat chicks. Ban.
Can someone tell these numbnuts that banning it in theatre does absolutely EFF all in todays technology.
Forget about Big Brother and 1984. Bring back Solyent Green.

It has gone completely stupid.
Redundancies in mining companies are 95% males (don't want to upset the girls!). Women are given jobs, not because they're better qualified... just because they're women (in a lot of instances).
The feminazi movement are nutjobs!
