Thanks to all for the kind thoughts and wishes I will indeed pass them on to Dayne and his siblings.
I'm pleased to report Dayne and his siblings spent some quality time with there father prior to his health taking a bad turn in recent times.
One of teapot's favourite pastimes was fishing and both sons took him fishing a few times in the past couple years.
He passed knowing his family and friends loved and adored him and he was lucky to get to spend a Xmas with his first grand child as well.
He was a typical country lad who played his sport hard but fair and was a very respected team mate and opponent across many sports and competitions.
I'm very pleased to inform fellow nicksters that Eddie made personal contract with Dayne today to pass on his, the clubs and all Collingwood supporters condolences and offer any support he could for Dayne and his family.

For those who are interested I attended the funeral of my great mate teapot Beams (farther of Dayne) last week.
I passed on the condolences of all those supporters who asked me too and Dayne and his siblings were very appreciative of the support from the Collingwood faithful and the wider AFL community.
After the service whilst tasting a few refreshing beverages a old team mate of teapots put together his record as a footballer
He played over 300 senior games across a few competitions spanning 20yrs
He won a total of 9 club best and fairests
He won 3 league best & fairests
He played in 5 premierships (plus 2 losing appearances)
He won 3 BOG in the GF's (including 1 in a losing side when he gathered 44 touches and kicked 5 only to see his side go down by 3 points with a goal after the final siren)
At 2 clubs he was named in there team of the century in 2000
Not a bad resume for a player and understandable both his boys have done ok at AFL level
Finally many thanks to those who took the time to pass on there best wishes to Dayne and his family as well as myself.
I'm sure if many of you had the opportunity to meet teapot you would have thought highly as him as I did
