Hird reckons he will play, a contradiction to the statement made by Kevin Sheedy last night who said that they will be taking absolutely no chances on Hird because they didn't think it was worth it.

ESSENDON captain James Hird has declared himself a certain starter for Saturday night's AFL clash with Collingwood.

Hird injured his ankle a fortnight ago against Carlton and was thought to be likely to miss at least three weeks.

However, he's declared himself fit and says he wouldn't play unless he was 100 percent.

The Essendon captain must complete a training session tomorrow night to be cleared for the clash.

he can play all he wants, hes such a whinging little soft cock he'll probably go off cos it hurts after about 10 minutes

pansy arsed (I'm a dinosaur)...i only care about collingwood...i hope he does play, so that when we win essendon havent got any excuse for losing

If Essendon chance Hird getting seriously injured by playing him too early then they are nuts! (Then again that's exactly what they are anyway!!!).

The one thing it does show is that the bombers are taking this match seriously and are shit-scared they are going to be beaten by a hungry young team, that's why they're playing these stupid selection games!

Let's give them something to be REALLY scared about boys!
