Really unfortunate for this group that there's only a 4 day break for the next game, none deserve to be dropped but you would think there would be at least a couple of changes.

Crazy that it's almost difficult to see how we could fit all of Adams, Elliott, Moore and Wells in. Fas even more difficult. Would think that only Adams, Wells and Fas would be available of those.

Who might make way will depend on how everyone pulls up.
Well done boys!

Is this vast improvement down to our new assistant coaches, like whiskas Hocking, Boyd. ?? Cos something has transformed this team from a hesitant, sputtering machine, into a slick, running, pacey, direct and swift powerhouse, or has the club just naturally improved. But, a fantastic win over the essendopers, smacked em real good, payback, great win and real team effort. Now for the tiges, who knows, the pressure is all on them, not us. so lets damn go for it.

The highlight to me was watching the Essendon players arguing amongst themselves in the second half. Brendan Goddard since the 2010 GF has been the gift that just keeps on giving. Beautiful.

de Goey's 22 touches were instrumental in the win, as were Varcoe's 14 and Aish's 20,

Love how good our forward line looks with the rotating mids: Sidebottom, Treloar, De Goey, Stephenson, Varcoe, WHE are all dangerous down there and also put on good pressure.

Last year we almost couldn't score with Elliott out of the side. Now, with a more varied and unpredictable forward line we have a much more robust setup. There's no reliance on individuals in our forward line any more. This is much more sustainable.

The ball movement from defence is helping this of course. Get your structures right and have quality runners and the game looks a lot easier. More easy targets across the field and more easy goals. That's what we're seeing now.

In defence. No doubt. Reid and Cox are doing their job up forward. One extra tall down back would make sure an opposing tall can't get hold of us. That's a risk at the moment with an undersized backline.

Adams is the interesting one for me. He's going to need to play a bit differently to fit into this side now. Seems strange to say of the Copeland runner up, but his lack of pace and running ability is a hindrance to the way we're playing at the moment. Brown played the Adams role today better than Taylor has this year.

After five weeks now, I can say that Murray is an inspired signing. His run is of course great, but his defensive skills are also good and he makes surprisingly few mistakes given his attacking style.

I wanted us to chase Saad last year, but Murray is better.

Love the way he lowers his eyes and keeps the ball going low. Lightyears from the O'Brees and Lockyers of the past.
