I get the ecological arguments, but tbh I like cats more than most native animals, who are generally overrated. Dogs, on the other hand, can all get on a slow boat to Chile for all I care, and cat murderers can be dropped off halfway.

Overrated?? All that is asked is that you rate them highly enough not to condemn them to extinction.David wrote:I get the ecological arguments, but tbh I like cats more than most native animals, who are generally overrated. ...
And there are so many different types of birds (even among those in danger of extinction) that surely one of them must be satisfactory to you.

You can, and 1 shire in Qld, is.
And the feds are in on the act too.

Might have to buy a rifle and spotlight. If the bounty goes up, you could make a nice little sideline a few nights a week.

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-n ... cat-scalpsA Queensland local council will not back down on a controversial bounty that offers $10 for the scalps of feral cats, despite animal rights activists calling it cruel and unnecessary.
Banana shire introduced the bounty last month, which offers $10 for the scalp of an adult feral cat, and $5 for a kitten. Feral cats are estimated to kill 750,000 birds a day in Australia, and council staff said the bounty came in response to "an exploding population" of feral cats hunting native wildlife.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
