Good on to him. Didn't see it coming either but good luck to him. He certainly seems to have thrived up north and wouldn't have fit in at all with us, so win win really.
Good luck to him. As a genuine first ruck with limited flexibility he was never going to fit here. Always looked a quality first ruck and glad he's landed in a good situation (good for him anyway).
We all knew at the time that he was worth more than we got in a trade, but after this season that's even more clear.
BUT if we made Dunn captain (assuming he was playing) you wouldn't be THAT surprised would you - he's clearly a leader in the backline. Sure, he's a bit older than Witts, but there are similarities. I'm guessing the things we know about Dunn that others might not appreciate may also apply to what Suns people (both of them) know about Witts. Maybe.
I think most people would be pretty surprised if we made Dunn captain next season. He'd be a pretty left-field candidate, not that there's anything wrong with that! But your point is a good one; and I guess we don't really have a clue what goes on behind closed doors at Gold Coast FC.
