Nice photos.

The daughter is now in London after a brief stop back at Athens after time in Crete. Reckon she'll find that a slight change of pace. She's putting up lots of photos on Facebook which is great, really enjoying seeing her tour.

Actually got a call back today about a job I applied for. :)

Had a chat to the head of HR, I'd made the long short list, she was culling to the interview list or short short list. I think it went well, we seemed on the same page, but depends what she's after. Hope to hear tomorrow or Friday if I get an interview next week, then if I do, I have to decide whether to have a shave and a haircut.

^^ if you're starting to look like your avatar, then I think you should go a shave. Or at least touch the beard up with lashings of Grecian 2000.

Cheers Skids, it was nice to get a call back, even nicer to think I'm on the same page as the person hiring.

Still got to make the interview list then, oh %$^. Im not good at interviews, had about 4 in the last 20 years. I don't sell myself well, I prefer to show my worth with actions. If you're any good you don't need to tell people, people will tell you.

Good luck with the job Stui.

I resigned from my job on Tuesday.
After 14 years it was time to pull the pin.
Working for a not-for-profit can be challenging but the one I work for is especially so. My current boss is also leaving today (she only lasted 18 months), so everyone freaked out when I announced I was going.

The thought of having to look for another job was a bit daunting, so I have stuck with what I knew despite putting up with a lot of crap over the journey (no salary or performance reviews, dealing with dumb people, individuals outside HO undermining your work). Flexibility with works hours and being close to home were also a factor but that is no longer the case as we moved offices a while ago.

Going to have a couple of weeks off and then start looking for another job.

Time to dust off the resume :D
