In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

The SDAEU has always been a pussycat union. It operates in territory which is virtually impossible for unionism - a massively fragmented workforce operating across hundreds of thousands of enterprises.

Unions work " best" (so to speak) with monopoly, competition-free employers such as government, or in highly capital-intensive or politically sensitive industries where it is cheaper to buy industrial peace than to idle the capital.
