Beams wants back, has unfinished business
He was a Gun, hands down. Still is. He is a Collingwood premiership player. He is the mold of player we love. Midfield/Forward. He is in his prime. He is a leader.
Will the money be better spent on Beams rather than looking at a key-position player?
Imagine Beams DeGoey Adams etc together. Its players like these that create dynasty's.

Gavin Brown.. Collingwood lifting..Right on the boundary line, back to Milane likewise... DAICOS nearly runs out of room........ GOAL

Haven't we already done this to death ?
It's a romantic notion in many ways but it won't happen IMO
Brisbane have said they will not release him under nah circumstances and have said Beams hasn't asked for a release nor has his manager even requested a sit down with them
Fagan was point blank adamant on radio today
"Dayne Beams is a priority required player by the club and under no circumstances will we entertain any offer for him. A club can come up with any amount of 1st round draft picks and players we aren't interested at all. No club who wishes to improve there ladder postion trades away there best player and arguably one of the top 5 players in the competition. Dayne has endured a tough year and relinquished the captaincy due to some personal health issues. The club has and will continue to support Dayne throughout this process. The media speculation is just that I've spoken to Dayne several times in the past few weeks about our planning for 2019 as I have with all the leaders of our footy club and at no time has Dayne been anything but committed to what we as a club are trying to achieve"
I would say that would end that speculation
Unless Fagan was basically attempting to head off any approach it's appears Dayne won't be going anywhere even if he so desires too

The question is - at what cost. I'd take him for a first round pick, but not for De Goey or Shaz or anyone they'd be interested in. He's just not a priority. BUT I voted yes - I'd love to have him back, an upgrade on Aish or Greenwood in the middle, but not as much upgrade as Lynch or May would be up forward or back respectively.

For a late first round pick, maybe. Wouldn't be keen to give up any players though. Will be 29 in Feb next year, so definitely a short term prospect.
He's a good player but I don't like the fit. If he is returning to Victoria you'd think going back to where his career started would be an option.

Well done boys!

How many games do you think we're going to get out of those three in 2019? This season it was 7, 17 & 6 and they didn't even finish all of those. All three of them being out at the same time is the only reason Magden got a run at all this yearNumber 35 wrote:We have Moore, Shaz, Reid and Magden for CHB
