Greg Swann wants the draft picks (2 X 1st round or equivalent) and a player and nothing else will get deal done apparently and has told Paul Connors he will hold Beams to his contract unless Collingwood give in and give the lions a massive win on this deal
Time to walk away from the deal if this is the case

FWIW, my opinion is that we should only take Beams if the cost is a minimum (pick 18 and that is it). He is 29 years old. Moreover, we now have a really massive team solidarity and cohesiveness, that is priceless. We have no guarantee that Dayne Beams will buy into that 100%. If this deal falls through, I will not be losing any sleep over it.
I believe that we do require another midfielder for extra depth and flexibility, but I am not convinced that Dayne Beams is the one we want.If Brisbane demands more than pick 18, I would not trade for Beams.
