Congrats, Jezza! A fine achievement. Many a would-be lawyer has walked into one of those double-degrees and run screaming out the other side before graduation, so well done for sticking it out!

After a 5 day weekend where I got the good car serviced, took the old girl and the dawg up bush for a couple of days, did some work restoring the old carport and generally enjoyed myself, I have to front up for 2 gruelling days of work before a 3 day weekend.

Prices of cigarettes are now ridiculous, so I decided to break the vaping equipment out and see if I could use that to manage the balance between keeping nicotine in my system and cutting right back on cigarettes.
Long story short, the thingo I bought in San Fran 2 years ago had shit itself on the shelf and trying to recharge it with a phone charger completed the wreckage, so I bought a new one.
Using the nicotine liquid with a best before date of mid 2017 was a bit harsh, but in 2 days I've reduced my cigarette smoking by around 50%.
Got a delivery today of some new nicotine liquid from NZ which is much smoother. 3-4 weeks supply for around the cost of 1 packet of smokes.
Hopefully I can stick with this.

I seem to be fairly sensitive to chemical changes in my system. I've given up twice, lasted 12 months each time but even after that long with the chemicals well and truly out of my system, I just didn't feel right.
This time the goal isn't to stop but to use the Vaper to cut right down and save some money. If I can stick at it, the logical extension is to stop cigarettes completely and just vape.
See how it goes, only just left the start line.

Good luck, you can do it. 5 days to two weeks it took Mrs WPT & I cold turkey back in 2000.stui magpie wrote:I seem to be fairly sensitive to chemical changes in my system. Youngest has scored 3 High Distinctions (HD's) in written work for law: property, contracts and ?public law. She's been studying her arse off in preparation for exams next week. She works so hard. Good on her.
