Vic State Election
Moderator: bbmods
My electorate of Morwell is one to watch on Saturday night as it's one of the more marginal seats in the state.
Currently held by an independent (was a National when originally elected).
I'll be voting Labor with the best thing being I only have to walk 200m to do so.

Most polls have Labor winning comfortably, which is what I'm expecting to transpire as well.watt price tully wrote:If the Age is to be beleived the ALP is set for a big win. I'm not so sure:
The possible scenarios:
1). Decisive Labor victory, which means they win more than 45 seats to form government for a second term.
2). Labor doesn't win the required 45 seats, but forms a minority government with the Greens.
3). The Coalition pulls off a narrow upset victory.

A lot of people I talk to want to vote Liberal, they don't like Labor or Andrews but Guy hasn't given them any reason to. I think a leader worth anything would've romped this in, but the State Liberals are still a mess.
We have a really good Liberal candidate up here in Ballarat (Amy Johnson) and she might take the seat. I'm in Ripon, and it's huge so no idea of the vibe out in the boonies
The Greens are shit, they've got shit candidates and shit policies but the trendy wankers will vote for them anyway. Nice to see Labor working preference deals to freeze them out.

On the debt, infrastructure costs dollars and the people will pay for it. At least the ALP have came and stated the debt will double. Now the LNP have promised everything and have stated that debt will reduce. Even someone who struggles to use a calculator would understand that doesn't add up. If the LNP get in they will do as they always do, sit on their hands and do nothing.
Governments run in debt, if you think they don't you are a fool.
