Really good candidate Amy Johnson? Nah will give a miss!Wokko wrote:A lot of people I talk to want to vote Liberal, they don't like Labor or Andrews but Guy hasn't given them any reason to. I think a leader worth anything would've romped this in, but the State Liberals are still a mess.
We have a really good Liberal candidate up here in Ballarat (Amy Johnson) and she might take the seat. I'm in Ripon, and it's huge so no idea of the vibe out in the boonies
The Greens are shit, they've got shit candidates and shit policies but the trendy wankers will vote for them anyway. Nice to see Labor working preference deals to freeze them out.
Cheers big ears

That's a very good question.Culprit wrote:If the polls are correct and the ALP wins. Who replaces Guy as leader as he will have to go.
Several of the obvious candidates are ineligible. Unfortunately for the Liberals, none of Christopher Skase, Carl Williams, and Squizzy Taylor, is available, nor is there a suitable representative from the Moran family*.
So it comes down to a choice between the two Tonys - Madafferi and Mokbel. Both men are fully in tune with the philosophy and ethics of the Liberal Party, either one would make an entirely suitable replacement for Matthew Guy.
* Granted, there have been exceptions from time to time, notably for Prime Minister Billy McMahon, but in general the Australian Liberal Party does not appoint dead people to lead it.

A fundamantalist Conservative Mormon: they're the new power behind the conservative puctch, sorry push in the Victorian Liberals with Krogers backing.Culprit wrote:If the polls are correct and the ALP wins. Who replaces Guy as leader as he will have to go.
Get ready for intelligent design, creation theory, the rights of religious conservatives to be bigots, shooters rights to own automatic weaponry, funding from the arms industry, NRA style advertising, anti-abortion, etc.
