I can see why cutting staff and budgets works better Stui.

I will call the next State Leader of the Liberals will be Tim Smith. He is the stooge for the Right Wingers.

The impressive thing about the result is how ordinary swinging voters have so steadfastly rejected right wing populism. Happily, it appears that Victorians are (by and large) much better human beings than that.

Traditional Liberal heartland seats have suffered significant swings against them.

Greens will lose Northcote and won't gain Brunswick and Richmond. They may only hold the seat of Melbourne.

Landslide.
Liberals not looking for government until 2026 at the earliest in Victoria.
With the Victorian population surging, a redistribution will occur before the next election and the growth areas are inner Melbourne, the northern, western and south eastern fringes of the suburbs. All these areas are presently Labor.
The Libs will start miles behind and all the new seats that will be formed will be nominally Labor as well.

Lookout ScoMo, you are in strife now mate.

Socialist Left? There hasn't been the Socialist Left in the ALP since my Dad was an MP back in the 80's when there was a true Socialist Left of the ALP. Not the current crop.
