Yes, I think even the most ardent transgender advocates acknowledge that there are some contexts where birth sex remains relevant (such as in medical situations). And if you agree with treating people respectfully, then, whatever our philosophical disagreements on the science and politics of transgender, we're not fundamentally opposed in practice.

Medical situations and participation in top level sport are situations when birth sex remains relevant, as both come down to physiology, hence my suggestion which you dismissed as a form of segregation.

A quickfire, intelligent 6 minute discussion on Youtube between Joe Rogan and the Jordan Peterson on transgender sports competitors.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsSIEmfNVeA

Covers most of the main issues. Also covers some predictions on where the transgender agenda (see what I did there!) is heading in broader society.

(NB. Peterson will be in Aust in Feb. Word I've heard is that an AFL club(s) is looking at getting him in to talk to players. He won't be got cheap though, I would think. Guys on a global roll.)

Good discussion in my opinion and I agree with them.

Nice alternative they raised, let male and female be gender and XX or XY be sex.

Try putting that in a more specific context. You and I are on the same wavelength, mr Foley then left the bar.

We already discussed this exact story in this thread on page 11. Not sure why we needed some right-wing talk-show airhead's hot take on it.

Well, it's quite common for topics to be discussed over and over again, in many different threads, over vast stretches of time, with no fresh input. Whether this bothers Nicksters (whether they even notice) depends on the circumstances, perhaps, such as whether they like what's being said.
