I am writing on behalf of a client of mine who is trying to get some information about possibly starting up a Collingwood Supporters Group for the disabled.
Thought this tied in neatly with CFC's current TAC campaigns etc.
Greg is a full-on, lunatic Collingwood supporter who is usually adorned in more black and white merchandise, badges, stickers on his electronic scooter etc than you can poke a stick at!!! His proudest possession is Mickey McGuane's training jumper from 1990 which Mick gave to him when he was in hospital after his accident.
Greg had a severe car accident in 1990 but, despite some glitches and limitations (including living in Central Vic), he gets to as many matches as he can. Unfortunately the "disabled" section doesn't always offer the best viewing.
Greg has met some of the many other Collingwood fans in wheelchairs at the MCG and Colonial Stadium. They have all been talking and come up with the idea of starting a CFC Supporters Group for the Disabled/Handicapped (or joining another group if it exists).
So, here's where you come in. Can anyone tell us:
(a) Is there already a group established that Greg and others could join?
(b) If not, who should he contact (and how) and what will he need to do?
Looking forward to your answers, Thanks
Greg (using RW1's login)
