Well I've taken an ADO this Friday and will be spending the day handing out how to vote cards at an early polling station and will be doing the same Election Day - expecting to get a bit of abuse but that's ok all part of the theatre I suppose. There are more than enough good caring people to negate the abuse 8)

 Nah - Animal Justice Party - some people get a bit um over excited that you don't support live export or dog fights or cock fights or duck shooting season etc etc or basically " their rights" to do whatever they want!

Such is life!

^ good plan!!

It's an interesting experience - in the past have had a few tell me to get a fckn job - um I have a job I'm a full time nurse in the public health system.

It's amazing how their attitudes change ( not all but most) so many then want to tell me their stories. It just goes to show I suppose how certain groups with certain beliefs are perceived and how we are judged by what we do for a living!

I was handing out how to vote cards for the Sex Party in South Caulfield which is on an electoral boundary so we we had to ask the voters which seat they were in. The Liberal party had a housewife from Brighton working for Andrew Robb. She asked me for a peek at the llterature and she said "You know, I agree with all this' When I go to vote I will put them in the senate second. " So Morrigu you never know.

Barry Michael turned up about 4 hours after the polls had opened and was flanked by some ex pug (who managed to spill his democracy sausage all down his Palmer Party T shirt) and 2 female boxers to hand out how to vote cards. Because they had turned up late all the good poster spaces were taken. Michael just ripped the ones already there down and tossed them in a dump master. It is actually a crime under the electoral act as is leaving them up after polling has closed which of course they did. I gave the dipstick a break because he had signed it and it now sits (less the political stuff) in the Boxing Roo bar not far me. The Doug Hawkins one which was also left is in the Walkabout Creek bar up the road from the Boxing roo.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
