Cops don't worry me, even US ones.

i stopped and had a chat to some cops who were shaking down a homeless bloke selling stolen porn mags in Santa Monica.

I couldn't get a good deal so i left them to it.

So, as the end of yet another year draws closer, this blokes tip is no closer to reality.
The Aussie has actually had a bit of a surge over the last few months and is nudging the 70c mark again... ( STUI

Since the gloomy prediction, the price has stayed pretty constant, a high of 80c in January 2018 & a low of 66c in August this year.

Most analysts are Bullish and see it going higher.

We have another USA trip planned for 2021, Kel has the holiday account looking pretty healthy and we've been pondering transferring some to a $US bank account (you can do these with most banks).

The ASX has risen over 20% this year, the Dow a tad better, Iron Ore is booming and the Pilbara has been moving up through the gears the last 6 months.... 2020 is going to be an interesting year

How much do they charge in fee & percentage each time you transfer?

Hah, 70c is about the natural level if both economies are ok. If we push above 80c, start buying.

Interesting both the US and AUS economies are riding on low interest rates, a recession is coming . Potentially both here and there which could make things interesting

Another one mentioned along with TransferWise is OFX.

But it looks like they both only do transfers between bank accounts, so I don't know how that can work for those looking to plan their holidays.*

RR, does TransferWise let you transfer in both directions, or only from the registered home country to the other country?

(*Update: I see TransferWise also advertises "New: Borderless Account", which looks like it works differently...)
