We are loving the recording studio on the ABC. Tonight they featured this wonderful wonderful man who has donated his plasma and blood for the past 60 years!!

Very special plasma as he has anti-D from an Rh(D) incompatible transfusion as a teen it is said.

His generous donation of his plasma has saved so so many babies from haemolytic disease of the foetus and newborn which can cause miscarraige and be fatal for newborns.

Bravo James!!!!

had a phone call from the daughter, she got a promotion at work. :D

I forget the title, but it's a real step up. She started as a support worker, going to people's homes and doing stuff as varied as housework, taking people shopping and showering and hoisting people 3 times her weight out of bed onto a toilet and back.

Then she went into the office as a care coordinator, coordinating the support workers and clients, managing rosters and authorising payments.

Now she's back on the road in what sounds like a cross between care coordination and sales marketing, meeting with prospective clients, writing up care plans, recruiting and training support workers and representing the organisation.

Significant payrise along with travel allowances, not bad for a kid who did VCAL and who, like her brother, vowed she'd never work in an office like I did.

She's ticking all the boxes. I've never seen her so happy in a relationship as she is now, she's got the inner suburban lifestyle happening, cash in the bank and get's invited to an interview without actually applying for the job.

Very proud of her

I don't know who's more nervous, me or him :D

We did quite a bit of beach running together a few years ago and had some good yarns on the runs. I can't keep up with him anymore.
He was talking about quitting footy last year and going back to baseball (he toured the US with an Indigenous team in 2016), but we talked him into sticking with it and he really put his head down over the pre-season.
Just hope the pressure doesn't get to him too much, big mob of family will be there on the hill under the scoreboard today. Very proud bunch of long time Swan Districts supporters.

Playing across half back and a bit of a tagging role. 3 Mark's, 3 kicks, 2 tackles and a couple of good smothers in the first half. Going ok.

Swans lead by 8 points in a bit of a scrap.

So is he your brother or sisters kid or from your wife's side? Where does the Indigenous blood come from?

From the wife's side Stui.

Played a pretty good game. 9 possessions, 4 Mark's and 6 tackles.
Swans got over run in the end, losing by 20 odd points.

Did enough to hold his spot v West Perth at Basso Oval next Saturday. I get to go to that game :D
