You're obviously a good person with a great love for The Club and I've got no desire to carry on a feud with you. So, we'll put this behind us and move on.
I guess there'll always be people whose frustration at losing will come out in different ways. We all have our own ways of dealing with disappointment. And I must say this. Last year I was easily the biggest whinger on this Bulletin Board. My complaining used to really shit a lot of people off. I found it didn't help at all. My new found attitude this year has really been a sort of therapy.
As for the crying ... well, that comes later. You just CAN'T let the Carlton supporters see you crying. I'm not into all that boys-don't-cry macho bullshit either. No way. I just don't let the opposition supporters see me cry, that's all. I don't give 'em the bloody satisfaction.
junkboy75 ... you can't call me Dr.Alf just yet. My thesis is still under examination. I handed it up in June but they've only just got around to giving it to the examiners. So ... fingers crossed.
Malklas ... should I interpret your comments as something like "Why don't you both pull your heads in"? Ha Ha Ha. It didn't take 20 years for someone to say that after all. I'm glad you regarded our bitching as being at the "highest level". So, we'll take that as a compliment to all concerned.
And Mike ... love your work, mate.
But I wouldn't quite go so far as to say that I am loved by ALL Collingwood supporters. I'm aware of a few exceptions ... and I guess I'll just have to learn to live with that. It's OK. It's not compulsory to love me. Just love The Club.
To everyone else who put in their bit to support me in this thread, thank you. Your support is PURE THUCKING GOLD.
And I@nS, if you're listening, you're OK, mate. We're all hurting. Because we all love The Club. You were upset. I was upset. And tomorrow is another day.

This is all very interesting yet somehow excruciatingly painful. As I said in an earlier post (my comming out so to speak), I get annoyed when Collingwood supporters can't be critical when it is warranted.
I am not commenting on the bona-fides of the comments which sparked this debate (again). I am referring to the heart of the matter. Anyone can be critical within the bounds of liable laws and perhaps decency (whatever determines that).

I have great admiration for your dedication and passion to Collingwood. You are two people who "put there money where their mouth is". I mean that literally and figuratively. I do have a personal view, however, that you jump on people who are critcal and assume they are not "fair dinkum" supporters. In some cases you may be right but by and large you draw conclusions based on your opinion of someone you don't know.
Let 'em be critical and by all means disagree with them. I would prefer it if you and some others did not just take the knee jerk approach at times though.
People, we are all Collingwood Family Members. I don't always agree with my family but I'm stuck with them - even the ones who are completely different to me and even the ones who are total lunatics.
