Both IQ and Noble played well and should hold their spots. However, IQ looked to me like he was beginning to cramp up in the 2nd half of both his games. No doubt it's a massive step up in pace and intensity from VFL footy, but both boys look to me like they are well equipped to make the grade.
P. Ryan: "Collingwood's John Noble also wore the highest number seen on a Collingwood player's back since Aaron James wore No.51 in 1994 when he wore No.49 to victory on debut out west. Of course that's a number cult figure Rupert Betheras made his own in his first 38 games with the Magpies in 1999-2000 before he switched to No.10."
Who would have thought this kid would have come in, played in a win over West Coast, got injured, came back, and held his spot for a Qualifying Final. It's amazing! Being 22 helps his case though. Go you good thing!
