Donny.
It's a game. Enjoy it.

Will you shut up with that shit? Agree we have so many out but that doesn’t stop them having a crack. It doesn’t make them constantly go to the boundary or bomb the ball long. One person to blame for that (no not Stevo but seriously he can f right off as wel). The coach.Pies4shaw wrote:Collingwood won the second half, 6.6 to 5.7. It may not seem much but I thought at half time that we were a chance to lose by 100 points. They kept at it, which is all one can sensibly demand. We simply did not have enough quality players on the park tonight.
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

I hope the club explains why Wills was overlooked tonight. Our lack of physical midfielders was so glaring.
But this selection debacle was not the main reason for our loss. Had Wills been selected, the result would not have been different.
Our loss tonight can be attributed yet again to utterly insipid midfield pressure, and lack of run. Since we changed up our style, and adopted the slower "keep possession through kicking" brand, our midfield has reverted to pre 2018 patterns of lack of effort to run both ways, at all costs. Our F50 entries were largely scrambled, and ineffectual, due to the fact that we were always under the pump when we entered F50...due to our lack of speed and kicking skills in creating options along the way.
Our incapacity also to win centre clearances is diabolical, and inexplicable. When the ball keeps going in the wrong direction from the outset, you are straight away on the backfoot.
Bitterly disappointed.

Well, I warned you Buckley....
Goldsack is worth 2-3 more of your statless wonder midgets.
Happy when Roughead was concussed out of the game at half time numpty?
Too bad Goldsack wasn't there to help, but that wasn't your fault was it?
Nothing ever is.
Time to go numptynoos. You survived the 2013-2014 losses to GCS, who were putrid; you won't survive a third.
And take the rest of the blank faced stunned mullets in numpty-central coaches box, and numpty selection committee with you.
Next week could see the lowest Collingwood attendance on record

Well, we've somehow managed to find new low point in the season. Just when you think you have seen the worst performance you could imagine we back it up instantly with another.
The season is over now, no coming back from this. Top 4 is gone and you really have to be rampaging to win 4 straight finals from anywhere else and we are the walking dead. Such a waste of another season which had so much promise. As soon as a little thing goes wrong (Stevo) everything just unravels. For Beams to pretty much straight after that walk out was unbelievable, then for Adams to break down again and Reid and Moore it's like a never ending cargo train of shit that never stops. Now we're stuck at the train station with nothing left on the myki card.
When we get rolled by the GCS on the MCG next week, and make no mistake, they will sniff this one out and deliver the best performance of their lives, I will expect several resignations. The sky is officially falling!

I’ve only left early on two previous occasions. The 2003 and 2011 GF....
But today I could bear no more and left at the 18min mark of the last quarter.
My lack of care and interest is only matched by the teams.
Where to from here?? Who knows but whatever they’re doing is obviously not working.
It hurt to watch The player we should’ve got (Lynch) play as a footballer, kicking goals and taking marks. I really hope the recruiters explain why we didn’t land the player we SHOULD have landed instead of chasing players we didn’t need (Mayne, Wells, Beams). We obviously couldn’t match
Richmond’s offer because we’d spent that money on the WRONG type of players.
On a brighter note, at least we were only a kick from winning the premiership last year....we can run with that for another 5+ years.
Can’t wait for this season to end. It’s been nothing short of deflating.

Absolutely right IMHO. Given the players we had, a six goal loss was about what I was expecting.Pies4shaw wrote:Collingwood won the second half, 6.6 to 5.7. The trouble with having such a huge injury (and suspension) list is not only the missing the skills and attributes of the players that are missing, but the disruption to the cohesiveness of the team. This is a huge problem.
Should we get back the players who are out, we'd still have to have at least a couple of games for them to synch together. If we make the eight, at least one of those will be in the finals. It's a sad and sorry state we're in, but we can still play some decent footy before the season is over.

Treloar 39 disposals. Says it all really. He had more than Dustin Martin, but who would you rather have playing for you? Dylan Grimes showed us what a true defender can do. Murdered us.
On form more than half the side tonight should be omitted. BTW the Tigers VFL team is on top of the ladder as well. That's what real depth at a club looks like. We haven't had it in God knows how many years. I give up.
Disagree the tigers had the chance to smash us by 80+ points, and failed take away 2 umpiring shit goals to them and it aint so great at all, they failed to smash us, despite having a fully fit team, aside from rance, and blew it, If I was a tiger fan, id be a bit miffed the did not destroy us, giving the face we had 11 senior players out. We lost by exactly the margin I thougt we would, given our outs. Im not happy by any means, but we did not get flogged and should have. Its exactly the scoreline I envisaged all along.
