The F word
With just 2 games remaining (we have a bye in R20) and having a shi tty percentage this week again effectively acts as a mini elimination final for us. Lose and Casey go 4 points and considerable percentage clear, win and we overtake them. Even then we still need a heap of other results to go our way.

Ladder
  • 5th - 36 points 127.0% - Werribee
    6th - 36 points 113.3% - Geelong
    7th - 34 points 107.9% - Port Melbourne
    8th - 30 points 112.4% - Box Hill Hawks

    9th - 30 points 100.6% - Casey Demons
    10th - 28 points 91.7% - Northern Blues
    11th - 28 points 86.1% - Collingwood
    12th - 20 points 74.5% - Sandringham

What no Wells?? He has been cleared to play hasn’t he?
Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~

Fairfax: "Daniel Wells won't play in the VFL this weekend and the Magpies have a bye in that competition next weekend. He will likely play in the VFL in two weeks' time as he needs another week of conditioning work."

Nice sunny day for footy, strong breeze though. Crocker gets our first after being tripped.

Hertherington kicks low inside 50, it’s an awkward scrubby kick, bounces past the pack, dribbling, dribbling, it’s through for a goal.

Stanford leads out, gets a push, ump spots it, gets up hobbling, looks to set it up from 40m 45 degree angle, Casey intercept.

Pies intercept, contest, Woodward down, in hands of trainers, gets up with a split across his head.

Keane marks on his chest, Casey player goes to get in his face, Keane puts a hand in his chest. I like the Irish aggression/cheek.

Casey go forward again, easiest of goals, mark on 50, kick inside, handball, run into the goal square.

Casey into the goal square bouncing on target, #60 tries to volley it through, but instead connects with the footy with his thigh. Rushed behind.

Casey mark on the lead 45m out, nothing Murphy could do there. Kick on goal drifts wide. We need to slow their play.
