Yep, it's a joke. The whole competition is unprofessional. The clubs are also unprofessional.melliot wrote:^LOL.
Since when was the AFL a professional run organisation.

Pfft. They don't know what "professional" or "fair" means. The whole comp is a compromise.

Gerard Whateley behaving like a pork chop on AFL360 tonight. How difficult is it for people to get their heads around this one fact - Stevo has missed his required 10 senior games of football. So he is eligible to play VFL Saturday. Simples! Everyone else can frankly go and root their Collingwood hating selves!

Oh Gerard has turned into the ultimate SJW in footy. Must be the influence his former masters at the ABC had on him.K wrote:It's all made up anyway, so I don't know why Gerard is blowing up, unless he wanted the ban to extend to next season as well.shawthing wrote:Gerard Whateley behaving like a pork chop on AFL360 tonight. ...

Perfectly correct decision. His penalty was 10 AFL matches.
Since his suspension, this coming round is the 9th VFL match. The no of VFL matches is irrelevant. Going by some peoples' logic, do we want to make sure he misses 10 VFL games as well as 10 AFL games? This would mean he misses the whole year because the 10th VFL game for us is next year. Therefore the no. of VFL games is no reference, and unrelated to his penalty.
It's just luck that at the point he'll miss his 10th AFL game, our team still has 1 more VFL game left.

Far as im concerned hes done his suspension, it was for TEN GAMES and its up, hes done it, over done and dusted. It ends this Friday night v dons. Just had a running battle with a tiger and blues fan, on twitter , going apeshit over this, rigged for the PIes, its wrong, he should not play, blah blah, even when I said its for TEN senior games, has not played one VFL game, made no difference, still go on an on how unfair it is. Unreal. just unreal, if stevo was a doggie, no one would give a shit, just cos its Collingwood. !!

Yep, Gerard and a few others failed to read the fine print of the penalty that was given.shawthing wrote:Gerard Whateley behaving like a pork chop on AFL360 tonight. It's a weird ruling by the AFL. Good to be on the positive side of one for a change.
Suspensions are usually based on rounds. 10 rounds of AFL as well as ineligible for VFL would see him not playing till finals. For some reason, Stevo's integrity suspension is treated differently - probably due to an oversight in drafting, which I'm sure will be amended.
