Using data from the program, more than 9.6 tonnes of methylamphetamine is estimated to be consumed in Australia each year, as well as more than 4 tonnes of cocaine, 1.1 tonnes of MDMA, and more than 700 kilograms of heroin. At street prices, the estimated value of this quantity of drugs for the four drugs is in the region $9.3 billion, underlining the size of the black economy that relates to drugs alone.

Of course there are many processes natural and unnatural before that water gets back in our taps, but they don't filter out traces of pharmaceuticals.
Potable water quality across Australia is amongst the best in the world.

I think one worry for every water contaminant, not just pharmaceuticals but the contaminants we normally think of, like lead and arsenic (and deliberate additives like chlorine and fluoride), is the cumulative effect.
It may be fine if you just drink one cup of water, but if you ingest one litre of tap water every day for 50 years it could be a lot different. And that may be extremely difficult or impossible to study.

I mentioned the smoke thing, said I think I might give it a miss for a while.
She smokes almost never and said, lets have a night at Rendezvous Scrabs when you come back and have a spliff on the beach.
