Yeah, these girls had very little in the way of self consciousness.
Morrigu, hope all goes well with your mum.
For me, after spending the past few days sulking about the cold, today had enough sunshine to get my energy levels up to almost Darwin levels.
Ketlebell session before breakfast, Got a haircut from the old Italian barber. Man knows how to treat a mullet, was probably trimming them when I was in school. "Don't cut it off, if you have hair, show it off" was his advice.
Roundupped the front yard, did the grocery shopping and mowed the back yard, minus shirt to get a vitamin D top up.
That's the curve done, got the holiday feel back, ready for work on Monday

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Good luck with your Mum MorriguMorrigu wrote:Well after a week of appointments and assessments finally got the approval for mum to have a balloon dilatation of her upper trachea next week.
She has 50% narrowing so talking and breathing is very difficult and her quality of life atm is shite - hopefully it will help!
I've got everything crossed!

Taking a week Long Service Leave this week. Loving it.
Rode to Frankston yesterday: no wind to speak of; glorious
Caught up with a friend and had lunch in a lovely cafe in West St Kilda
While Mum's memory is getting worse she's still managing on her own with lots of supports moslty from me & Mrs WPT. Has the district nurse daily, she was in good spirits yesterday and today, hopefully this continues for a while.
When you ring her it takes about 5-6 goes till she actually answers the phone: what you do get is: the phone being opended then not answering for the first 2-3 attempts, then music, then she's called you while you're trying to call her then by the 5th or 6th time bingo you've got through.
This is met with a vairety of different responses from: you didn't call to what am I doing wrong? This is on just about every call at least twice a day.
Bought her 24 tins of cat food today for her 2 cats. They't getting fatter because she forgets she feeds them and refeeds them!
Yesterday she couldn't understand why no one was picking her up to take her to Rotary (she used to be president an secretary same years ago and was involved for many years. She hasn't been for about 4 years or more). This is the real memory deficit refelctive of alzheimers and a marker as this hasn't happened before. Still, she's basically healthy, and I'm not too stressed about her currently. This of course is subject to change & last year she was in deep shit (especially when the sewerage f*cked up) much better now.
Oldest is acting national manager for a few weeks of her womens retail chain (part time flies to Sydney once week for a few days) and living in Geelong
Youngest got two more HD's on Monday for Company law and some other Commercial Law subject and she's lucky enough to have got interviews with major law firms coming up (because she's got an HD average and work in the court system she ought to be well placed to be considered for a clerkship at one of the leading law firms). I think she wants to work in Mediation and Litigation or Competition law. These are ridiculously competitive clerkship positions.
Now just for the Pies to beat Gelong this week & I'll be more than a happy man.

I've been researching wireless headphones for a while now & the Sony came up trumps:
