hopefully he dies in jail, hopefully we never hear his name again. About anything.
I believe some people are born monsters, wether it’s a mental disability or a bad gene, serial killers who torture animals as children, and I also believe some people are man made monsters, like my old man, spoilt brat, greedy and selfish, only child, never learned to share, and a big brute, many a product of a brutal upbringing, but many of those also choose the good path.
I’ve also read of people born with an unnatural obsession who recognise it and suppress it.
What ever this guy is, he should never be free again.

A world beneath the sea, lower than shark shit.shawthing wrote:Can you believe that? What world do these defence lawyers live in?Defence counsel Tim Marsh urged the judge not to impose a life sentence, arguing that there was no evidence his client had intended to kill Ms Dixon when he followed her into Princes Park.
Mr Marsh said it was entirely possible that Todd killed out of panic to escape detection, not out of murderous intent.
He killed her, end of story. The fact that he might have killed Eurydice Dixon to escape detection surely only makes matters worse!
I'm sick to death of these do-gooder lawyers getting people off on lighter sentences when for the most of human history people lived by one rule: "An eye for an eye!"
Besides how could we ever be sure that this guy wouldn't kill again if he's described as a "sexual sadist"?
They're as bad as the filth that pay their wage.
Don't count the days, make the days count.
Tim Marsh is a Legal Aid lawyer. He's doing the job because someone has to, in our system. The "filth that pay their wage" seems to be the Government.
Here's his direct, very public comments about another difficult case in which he acted: https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/life-a ... yt5pp.html
Here's a famous example of what happens when defence lawyers are a bit too ready to let their clients take what's coming to them: http://www8.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/view ... 34/49.html

That’s an appalling post, re: defence lawyers. Doing a very necessary and often thankless job. Who are you going to turn to if you ever get charged with something you didn’t do?

I see both sides of that, probably because I watch fartoo much of Law and order special victims, the defence lawyers who defend the obviously guilty really demonic perpetrators are always either loud overly done up women, or distinguished men that ooze creepy charm! Very stereotypical. And the defences they come up with, gees!
The defenders for the innocent always look like clarice with her cheap shoes andbutton down cardigan!
Of course there needs to be defence lawyers, must be hard though, lawyers have such a silly stereotype, of course there are ones with no conscience, but that goes for every occupation on earth. That’s why the anti cop posts piss me off so much, not sure why people expect them to be from a higher plain.

Unbelievable. My jaw was dropping at almost every aspect of that 'trial'. What a shambles! "he was in a predicament, the worst predicament that he had encountered in all his legal career." Can't believe he said that in the courtroom. Then the "learned judge" with his directions... Terrible.Pies4shaw wrote:Tim Marsh is a Legal Aid lawyer. Another man who hates women: Detailed and illuminating article in the current issue of the Monthly on the murderer and the sentencing process amongst other things:
".....Todd catches a city-bound tram. Eats a pie, drinks a coffee. 5.50am. He takes a train home. 6.37am. Back in his room, back on his iPad, he searches for “Princes Park”. Reads about the discovery of a woman’s body. At 6.57am he googles “strangulation and rape porn”. Selects the first website, clicking on the category, “Strangled and brutally raped”. Navigates to a sub-category entitled, “Brutal rape, choking till death strangled forced videos”. Views two pages of results......."

That’s interesting, is there a stat on gay killers? Rapists? Hate or not, he certainly has no respect for women. Or maybe he’s a damn coward and picked on the less physical sex? Mummy issues? Maybe the judge is right, personally I think evil is just an adjective as used by the judge, but maybe this prick is just plain evil. I don’t get the whole there is no such thing as evil, it’s not a unicorn, why can’t someone just be evil? Born with no compassion, and a thirst to cause pain, or just satisfy their own twisted fantasies? I mean we all have evil thoughts, I’ve had a few the last couple of weeks but I won’t be chopping up that ugly bastard that is destroying Aussie rules, and feeding his genitals to a cobra, anytime soon.

A psychopath is probably the closest thing to actually evil, he's not one of them.
I don't think he hates women or even disrespects them in general. He had a girlfriend for 4 years. He had this choking rape fetish which in the article I think was described as some sort of personality or something disorder which wasn't treatable. Combine that with his Autism would be why he could feel no empathy for his victim, yet when he choked his GF, with consent, during sex, he stopped when she gave the signal. His victim was a victim, not a person.
Mummy issues is an interesting one as the house he lived in was an utter pigsty apparently yet in his jail cell he has it neat as a pin and his books all arranged.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
