"Victoria Police Superintendent Jenny Wilson said the victim had not been formally identified and police were still working to notify next of kin.

She said police could not confirm publicly any more details about the victim or what led to the crash.

“At this stage police are still contacting next of kin and our thoughts are with the next of kin and family members and the community who will be impacted. All in all it’s another tragic event for the community,” she said."

Danny Frawley was killed in car accident earlier today.

I know he played for the Saints, but he was an assistant coach at Collingwood.

He was only 56yo.

So I thought it appropriate given that he was involved in our club.

I spoke to him this time last year at a South Croydon footy club function. Again in January as he was running a food truck park on the foreshore at Portarlington. Genuinely great bloke. What a loss.
