This time there is footage of his hands/fingers on Neale's face, which is why he's been charged with "unreasonable and unnecessary contact to the eyes". He was never charged with that last week.
Also, there is precedent for the "this has been going on long enough" suspension. Ablett kept getting off for similar acts and was then finally suspended. Part of the reason Greene got off with a fine last week was "remorse" and "lack of evidence". The MRO clearly believe the evidence is there this time and remorse can simply no longer be argued. The Giants are going to have to argue that there was no, or insufficient, contact to the eyes.
I'm surprised the AFLPA don't take a stand on this - this is hardly "heat of the battle" anger - this is deliberate and vicious.
He was third man in - the only reason he got involved in that was so that he could put his hand in Neale's face. It's very difficult to justify. Whether he plays or not, he is a disgrace.
Toby got one week suspension not before time, cant see how the League can save him, their precious Franchise NSW team, cant be saved on this one, no more fines for this little thug, hes shit outa luck, finally.

If he didn't go last week, he won't go this week. They can't reduce it to a fine if insufficient evidence, he's either guilty or not guilty on an appeal. GWS would be very confident of insufficient evidence on that video and the fact there is no injury to Neale. Pathetic, afl, Greene should never have played and GWS should never have got through

I just read few mins back he got one week, but can be appealed.

clearly not! their ridiculous MRP results this year and this final season show they dont give a toss and think they are untouchable!

Sure thing dickhead, I wonder if your team was facing GWS in a PF you’d have the same opinion?
Also, go ahead & go back through history since the 70s, look at who has actually been suspended a week out from a GF, notice who the players are & who they played for.
exactly right!! ask Travis Cloke! he certainly did far less than Nicknat!
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
This quote is of interest to me: Greene did not have to defend himself from speculation that he eye-gouged Bontempelli, with the AFL's legal counsel, Jeff Gleeson QC, making no submission about what he believed the Giant did with his hands.
