In truth, they would have lost if the extra week hadn’t worn the wheels off the Geelong midfield at halftime.
Duncan was a huge out.

If we don’t win tomorrow, I hope Toby tears em a new one, literally and figuratively
Play him on Dusty, and let them poke each other's eyes out.
Hehe, I’ll send him chop sticks!

Geelong, the great pretenders. Haven't won 2 games in a row since round 12. Have lost their past 4 prelim appearances.

Farken Richmond. Geez I hate 'em. They'll be flag favourites regardless of who wins tomorrow, but i reckon we can beat them if we win tomorrow. Gotta have faith.

If Geelong had had Hawkins, could well have been a different result. It is what it is. Bitchmond through, but an exhausting contest, and a couple of players will feel sore (Broad, perhaps Martin as well)
Richmond survived at the critical moments, it seemed to me, due to 4 players:
1) Martin
2) Prestia
3) Houli
4)Lynch
While other Bitchmond players were very good (Costanza, to name one i noticed), in the critical moments when Geebung was pressing, these 4 players formed the basic skeleton around which others sporadically ducking in and out fleshed out the whole.
If we win tomorrow (praying to God) then we will need to ensure that we have a plan to suppress at least two of these.

I also think that the rest for Bitchmond clearly was a huge factor, possibly in the entire second half, but defintiely in the last quarter.

The favourites won. Lynch more than earned his contract tonight. Geelong looked old & tired. With the impending retirements of Taylor and I presume Ablett they could be in a spot of bother.

Let’s hope we win tomorrow

Geelong just coughed up its biggest halftime lead in a final since Collingwood overrun them in 1930. Can their coach survive this? His team has been appalling in finals for years and managed to win only 1 of 3 again this year after finishing first. I can’t wait to watch his presser in full.

Don't forget the impending departure of Kelly.

Could decline quickly in the near future.

I forgot about him. Is he a cert to go? They'll be heftily rewarded with draft picks for him if he does go
