Maybe your searches are wrong or looking at the wrong thing, I heard about this guys invention long long ago, didn’t need to search, it was all over Facebook - for the right reasons.

People searching this poor girl for all the wrong reasons, I jus5 never understand why humans take so much pleasure ,waste so much time, seeking to take other humans down, it’s not just an Aussie thing. What harm did she do to you? Or anyone else? No she didn’t have a solution but she has put it out there for discussion ,always a good thing.

I know how I personally feel, or what I believe about the global warming debate, nothing I read on nicks will change that, and nothing I say will change anyone’s opinion her, so I won’t bother detailing it, but I still have not received an answer to my question, I’ve asked more than once:

We are trashing this earth, that’s a fact, all the suggestions to help stop Global warming, wether it exists or not, will be beneficial to the health of the planet, and the people and animals who are lucky enough to reside here, so what harm will they do? Why do you object? What is wrong* with reducing pollution levels, hydrocarbons, with reducing hard waste that doesn’t break down for millions of years?


Leave the kid alone, and get a new target to kick. Maybe one more deserving, plenty of politicians out there, and crooks.

I have answered your questions previously, from my perspective.

If you put a child up on a pedestal, or anyone else for that matter, for simply expressing an opinion you agree with, people who disagree with that opinion will react. Some badly.

I don't agree that we have a global warming induced climate change emergency and everything I read confirms that opinion, so I get annoyed at people who say we do.

Having said that, I agree we've been trashing the planet and need to change. Reducing single use plastics, better recycling, stopping deforestation and land clearing for growing crops and building houses and yes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by moving to other energy options are all good things to do which should be encouraged and supported.

If we really want to get serious we should also talk about population growth as it's the increasing number of people who consume all these things that are the real problem. China, USA and India are the top 3 producers of greenhouse gasses. Combined they account for nearly 50% of the total world production and China alone accounts for more than half of that

Want to talk about a global extinction event? By all means but call it for what it is, land clearing and population growth not global warming. We had a mass extinction event in Australia around 40,000 years ago, 20,000 years before the climate really started warming at the end of the last glacial period. Australian Mega fauna and whole species of flora were wiped out by Human intervention. Global warming didn't wipe out species, people did and we're doing it now.

So many people these days seem to just utterly lack the ability to think critically, instead they just latch onto things that match their ideals and adopt the cant with religious fervor.

It's easy to bag politicians for doing nothing, and forget that we voted for them.

If a majority of people believed we had a climate emergency, that should be reflected in the vote but 6 months ago, it wasn't.

Politicians may be weather vanes to popular opinion, but noisy minorities don't seem to count as much in the ballot box as they do on Twitter.

^ ah well - there may be many who do think we have a climate emergency or not even an emergency per se but serious issues that really do need some sort of positive action and certainly some leadership.

But...... people on the whole are selfish fcks they mostly vote for what will serve them the best financially and that is exactly what they did 6 months ago!

And our extraordinary crop of talented and committed pollies will on the whole sniff the breeze and take the popular position that will keep them in their nice well paid jobs with an eye on relection of course

And then there is the Indian truck drivers that can’t reverse!

I don’t agree with the morons blocking the city every day, but I’m more than happy to listen to those trying to do something, I do believe there is a problem, I’ve seen the marks in a couple of disappearing glaciers, I don’t know how urgent it is, but I’m more than happy to give up straws and plastic bags. And after hiring a hybrid in London, I reckon that will be my next car.
