If your on face book check out a page called the thin blue dot, he’s a cop riding solo across the country to raise funds for a fellow cop who’s fighting cancer, inspirational and very honest

40 km northerlies tipped for Sunday’s 200 km bike ride to Sorrento and return. I’ll be there in 5 minutes and take 5 days to get back

Wow, I'll have a look (via Mrs WPT's facebook)

I'd love to do a long trip where you fend for yourself, camp etc. My bicycle repair skills aren't too flash currently so I need to sort that out (getting better though)

One more month & I'm off to Robe South Australia to ride on the Great Victorian Bike ride for the 10 day ride to Torquay.

About 4,000 riders (some doing 3 days, some doing 5 days and fools like me doing the whole 10 days)

Rest day in Port Fairy.

Sleeping in tents, lining up to use semi-trailers for toilets and showers (think Kenny) people snoring overnight next you (I'll be a snorer too when I'm that tired), queues for food, flat tyres, all sorts of weather what could possibly go wrong? And you call this a holiday

Just signed up for the Otways Classic in April 2020. Unfortunately it clashes with the MCG match v Port. Tried to get my PA to put a call through to Hamish but he was at Polo. Perhaps I can get my EA to have a word with young Hocking to see if he can change the game to Sunday.

I’m doing the 145 km option

I find if you print the elevation map on B3 the gradient is a lot less steep

I rode the 145k Otways a few years ago, WPT. You'll find the climb out of Dean's Marsh a bit tough but the long ride downhill into Lorne is a lot of fun.
Side by side.

Cheers TP, I'm looking forward to it, need to do a bit more training but doing it with a lot of others always helps.

Did a virtual spin class on Friday at the local Gym: about 50 minutes of hard riding (up to the user as in any spin class how much u put in). I like to work so felt it. The scene was in the Rock Mountains and the voice direction is terrific; great programme through “MyZone”.

Did a morning spin class yesterday which is a group thing & the instructor is very good.

This morning rode to Frankston and back (minus Olivers Hill). 75 km’s, 3 hrs in the saddle, 24.5 km av speed, 43.2 max speed. Stopped for a coffee in Mordialloc on the way back. From Mordy back to Elwood where I turn off I rode with a 29 yr old woman who was training for an iron man / iron woman competition who will be riding for over 5 hrs today followed by jogging for 3 hrs. She was lovely. When we were single file & she was in front my view was much better than when the positions were reversed
