That would be okay (well outside the increased health risks) if it wasn't for the fact he's a professional athlete, his endurance base already requires improvement and he plays a sport with a large playing area and one where the capacity to cover ground forward, back and provide repeat sprint efforts is increasingly important year on year for team success.

REALLY? defrickenlist him immediately. yes im serious, this guy is a no hoping tool that needs to wake up to how lucky he is to have the opportunity to play footy for a living, a good one, and for the best team in the world no less. jerk

It's no wonder so many players suffer mental problems, when they have to cop abuse and vitriol from supporters. :(

exactly this

Stevo this year, thomas and the freeze guy the year we really needed every available defender, didak, shaw, its a few short years, they can set themselves up for life, so damn behave! do you want to win premierships Rudeboy? or are you happy coming 2nd and third all the time?

this guy should be earning respect back. when he has helped us to a cup he can sing opera, stark naked, drunk on tequila in a seedy bar in bali singing disgusting songs for all i care, but right now Phil inn need to Fit in and buckle down.

Settle down TP.

We have a coach and football department responsible for monitoring his training etc. Last time I checked he had not been delisted or traded, so that suggests that he can't possibly be as out of order and as slack as some of you are asserting.

I agree that, on the face of it, he does not seem to have knuckled down hard enough to get fit enough to be the great player many of us think he could become. But at the end of the day, only those within the footy club, know the truth about what he is doing wrong or right and what is going on in his life.

In the meantime, fans, who are ill-informed (including me), should refrain from hurling abuse at one of ours. Honestly, it's embarrassing to read.

+1.

Lets be encouraging our boys not abusing them on social media. It's love that we need.

For one who barely drinks not euphopric yet.

Like John Hammond, we can make love conditional:

We got love if he wants it....(sort of)...

For a kid who isn't committed, going to a 2 week Muay Thai camp in the 2018 pre season was an interesting move
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
