Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic
Over 1300 confirmed cases, mostly in China.
Are we seeing a repeat of the SARS outbreak of 2002-2003?

A useful guide here:

Long story short, no need to panic at this stage. It's obviously a bad thing to catch, but the mortality rate is somewhere below 3%, and only a very few isolated cases have been reported outside of China so far (four here in Australia).

Being swamped in the ED currently with lots of people who have vague symptoms but related to the areas of china and or the plane carrying a confirmed case who wne to another ED.
Those people need to be there to be assessed and have responded to being contacted and coming in but bloody hell it's huge.

Gosh didn’t consider that, you’ll get genuine and people panicking too, good the way you see it, very understanding.
Watching ambulance UK last night and they had 72 ambulances with patients inside queuing at local hospitals, one terminal lady broke my heart, the lady paramedic touched me so much if I remembered her name I’d write to the show, she handled a long term drug overdoser (many tines in 20 years) so sweetly it was amazing. I don’t know how you do it, cheers
