Or black male/white female. It's like every company wants to virtue signal its 'woke' credentials to the twitter mob who doesn't buy their product anyway.
I mean, no doubt there's some cynical "woke" virtue-signalling going on in some of these cases. But think about this another way: are you saying that the only reason a same-sex or interracial couple would be in a TV ad is as a result of political correctness? If so, isn't that kind of $@&^# up, and shouldn't we be encouraging more agenda-free depictions of people who don't fit the white, heterosexual norm (which, let's face it, is still accounting for the vast majority of couples represented on TV)?

Unless the ad is calling attention to itself in some obvious way, I just don't know how anyone can know a given example is a "woke" ad, as opposed to just an ad that happens to feature a same-sex or interracial couple.

Was in Ripponlea this afternoon buying some goodies for dinner and for Mum. There's an ecelctic mix of people from ultra orthdox Jews in black garb, trendies going to cafe's and shopping, mums and prams, various schools especially Caulfield Gammar and some other schools, indian food delivery people, all sorts of shapes, colours, genders: a liquorice all sorts if you will.

As I was getting out of the car parking on Station street out comes a woman with fashionable short blonde / bleached white hair, bright red lippy, and a very short bright yellow skirt. It was a Reid like cycle (not a road bike) and the short skirt was quite revealing.

This quite feminine woman (if not a tad on the anorexic side) riding her bicycle wasn't wearing any knickers and (of course I had to look) was showing her hairy balls and c*ock  WTF indeed.

Too much information.

That's surprising.
