Alf's big Copeland trifecta:

1.Fraser, J.
2.Davis, N.
3.Buckley, N.

Other chances:
O'Bree, S.
Rocca, A.

But the biggest certainty of all-time has got to be Molloy for the "wrecker".

Molloy for wrecker?
It would be appropriate but isn't that for tackles.
I haven't seem the stats but the crash bang get up you whimp stare is Jarads speciality. Not sure if he lays as many tackles as some others though.

.Tarks should be a good chance with O'Brie a close second. He's had a terrific year shown consistency courage and his accuracy at shooting for goal has meant he was extremely reliable which is more than I can say for many other players apart from Nick Davis who is a really classy player. Sorry Bucks but not this year.....

Sory to be so ignorant, but ...... how does the Copeland voting work? Is it a 1, 2, 3 vote system or does only one player get a vote per match? Who actually casts the votes?

This makes a big difference to who will win in my opinion. Guys like Clement, Tarks and N. Davis between them would have scored all the 1 and 2 votes. Like the Brownl;ow these can all add up to overtake the player who gets the odd 3 votes.

ON VOTING: The match committee awards as many 3, 2 & 1 votes as it sees fit.
  • So, in a brilliant game, technically they could give out 22 lots of 3 votes.
  • Similarly, in a shocker they may award no votes (this scenario HAS occurred).

The different voting systems at each club are an obvious explanation why the media and umpire voted awards frequently don't correlate to club awards.
