Had the pest exterminator around this morning to de-flea the joint. Infestation outside so that was the main bit, no carpet in the house so inside was easy.

No more getting up in the morning and spraying aeroguard on my feet. :D

Entirely possible, but first we have to identify the pests.

Found my perfect job - no need for pay I’ll pay to work there :)

As soon as the travel ban is lifted I’m booking a visit - fingers crossed for 2021!

I can't compete with baby elephants, but I'm in a good mood today.

Still have't had any acknowledgement from my manager that I'm working from home with no work, so yesterday went to do some grocery shopping and murphy's law applies, got a call from another HR person while I'm at Costco who reckons she has some work for me. Cool. First job was some data reconciliation which took 15 minutes, but hey, my conscience is clear.

So today, nice sunny day, after the morning walk and significant stalling, got to work on the west wall. Painted all the window frames and the fascia , then just to prove I'm stupid did a weights session before settling back for the day.

Yes I'm officially annoyed that I'm doing a lot more exercise while not eating or drinking more and my weight is up and down like a brides nightie, best case I've lost 2kg, but regardless I feel better for it.

She's a consultant by nature, zero leadership ability.

So my eldest is still standing after the 4th round of redundancy selections! The bank said all the consultants would go, but most of her team is still there today, so thats good, at least for now.

Today i made a lemon meringue pie, and i learnt you can use frequency separation to take away the burnt bits, and eye sharpen to sharpen up the bits you fixed!! Hubby "Junior been baking?" me very indignantly "No, i made it, you work so hard i thought you might appreciate it" Him "hmmm thankyou," he goes to take a piece, Me "DONT TOUCH IT!" him "whats todays prompt??" "um, bake" Him "uhuh!" Im not a fan of cooking!!

Junior got a great deal on a Kayak, apparently her and hubby have been discussing buying used ones, but this joint had proper fishing kayaks half price, the sale ended but Junior rang up and got the deal. She showed me before buying, and i said i like the blue one, she said dad wants to wait to see what they are like, so i called him and said why? its a great deal, and the blue one is cool. "happy mothers day" he says!!

And lastly, thanks to my good reputation at my FIL nursing home (im the contact) my dad jumped the queue, and he gets transported down on Friday, thursday im off to Warnambool to sort his gear out, and i thought to clean, but his carers like him (!!!) and they have already done most of the cleaning as they thought he was coming home! they sent me pics, God bless these people!!! I know i know, but the truth is if he was elsewhere, it still would have been me, i may as well have him handy! Hes actually behaving. I think he finally realised he needs people and dying alone is not fun. But as i did last time i saw him, he says one wrong word and im outta there! he will learn fast! I now have another 8 forms to fill out, some of them are 5 pages long!!

cheers, i hope you all have a great day too!

Great stuff,

I got a call yesterday from the other HR person on the project who called me last week, wanting to know if I was happy to do her job for a few months. Said shit yeah, which was good because she'd already got the approvals. She's going to back fill someone else and recommended me to back fill her as a) she knew I had nothing to do and b) she likes working with me.

Sweet. So I'll be reporting to my current bosses boss and my current boss becomes one of my clients. See if she responds to emails now. :P
