Donald Turnip has no idea about leadership. His Tweets are embarrassing.

"Groping at straws" is the title that comes to mind. Or, "Twitterevangelist cons nation".

How many days in bed watching cable about himself while the country burned did it take his pea brain to come up with this? A true genius.

^ It emerges that the administration decided to take violent action against peaceful protesters to clear the area for that shot. Moreover, the people they cleared out of the area where that photo was taken included a pastor and a seminarian. That sort of hypocrisy is innate - it couldn’t be learned.

Or it could just be security.
Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the GOP leadership team, said the protesters had to be cleared out "for security purposes" since Trump was "walking over to the church" and they were asked to clear "but refused to do so."
"So obviously, it was a necessary security measure," Cornyn told CNN. Cornyn rejected the notion that they were acting peacefully since they can't "ignore what law enforcement officers are telling them to do for the security of the president or anybody else."

However, I have no defense for anyone getting their photo taken outside a chuch to promote anything.

I don't get it. "Thoughts and Prayers" have done a wonderful job at stopping mass shootings as a viable option to gun control, are they supposed to now stop the protests or Black people being killed?

I don’t think there’s any “or” about it - an actual leader who was trying to lead would go somewhere else or wait. This was just a display of Trump’s authoritarianism at its worst.

I’m looking forward to reading the US State Department’s report on human rights in the United States of America - it should be an entertaining read. You know, “fascists in glass houses” and all that.

I think it's fair to say that between Covid19 and these protests combined they're bringing out the worst in Trump or making the worse more visible.

Will be intriguing to see if he still wins the next election, I'd think his odds would have gone south recently although he is up against the dead body from Weekend at Bernies.

^ I think a cardboard cutout of Abe Lincoln would probably defeat either of them if it ran as an independent.

As much as I hate to say this, I think Trump might scrape in again at the next election. The main problem is that many people who could make a difference cant be stuffed voting. Generally speaking, Republican voters are more financially able to fund election advertising and publicity. Democrats can never match it. And anti Trump voters may or may not turn up to vote, they are unpredictable. So if the Democrats lose again, they get what they bloody well deserve. :(

Unless Bernie Sanders was holding it.

The article says he was appealing to his base supporters. Are there any other type of Trump supporter? Tautological I would have thought.
