Andrew Crisp actually made a request for 1000 ADF personnel for quarantine and it was rejected by either Neville or Andrews.
As for security companies, allegedly one of the companies isn’t even on the governments approved contractors list!
As for the cold, I pretty much live with cold symptoms all throughout every winter and was quite bad when the initial outbreak began in March. It’s only because of the travel I eventually reluctantly agreed to get tested.
Only hope the results come back before I leave, but ordering food on Uber Eats is far too damn expensive and it’s been 2 days!

Good luck to you and ur familyBruce Gonsalves wrote:Myself and the missus are now considered suspected cases. We've both had a slight cold and thought we'd do the right thing and get tested. We are S.E. suburbs so hopefully nothing to do with all the cluster f@@@@s over the other side.
We did the drive through test, manned by the ADF, very professional. It was done with military precision.
Anyhow, we're isolating at home until the results come back within 6 days.

My 21 year old daughter is currently awaiting her test results. Trying to be upbeat and positive but you try to tell a father not to worry!!eddiesmith wrote:Andrew Crisp actually made a request for 1000 ADF personnel for quarantine and it was rejected by either Neville or Andrews.

Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

From The ABC blog:
From The ABC blog:
And from The Age blog:Victoria has recorded another 273 cases of coronavirus in the state and one death, as the Government confirms prep to year 10 students in locked-down areas will return to home learning from July 20.
....
Mr Andrews said there were now 57 people in Victorian hospitals and 16 of those were in intensive care.
There are now 1,484 active cases in Victoria.
Mr Andrews said from July 20, prep to year 10 students in mainstream state schools in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire would return to remote learning until at least August 19.
....
Professor Sutton said reintroducing home learning was a difficult decision to make, but said the pandemic had not yet reached its peak and authorities were throwing "absolutely everything at it".
He said here were at least 145 cases linked to public housing towers in North Melbourne and Flemington which were locked down last weekend.
Twenty-two cases were linked to public housing in Carlton.
Victorian Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton has given more details on some of those included in the 273 new cases reported today in Victoria.
Four cases linked to LaManna Supermarket in Essendon
Two cases linked to Linfox Distribution in Truganina
11 to Somerville Meats
Four cases linked to JBS abattoir
Six to Cenvic Construction Riverina apartments
Two linked to Box Hill Hospital
11 linked to Brunswick Private Hospital
11 to Menarock aged-care facility
Eight linked to Alfred Hospital
Professor Sutton said a more detailed update would be made public later on Sunday.

All the best mate, it’s not fun waiting and even when you think it’s ok, there is that slight doubt in the back of your mind.Lazza wrote: My 21 year old daughter is currently awaiting her test results. Trying to be upbeat and positive but you try to tell a father not to worry!!
Glad to hear you’re both all good. Just wondering when did you get tested? Trying to get an idea of wait times.Bruce Gonsalves wrote:Test results came back overnight and all good. We weren't worried in the slightest, but I think the whole episode will take any complacency out of our minds when outside.
And thanks guys for your concerns.

"Bunnings placed temporary restrictions on masks, limiting customers to 10 packs each. Director of merchandise Phil Bishop said store teams were working to keep shelves well stocked.
Elsewhere, customers were snapping up packs of masks ranging from packs of 10 single-use face masks at Chemist Warehouse for $12.99 to 50-packs of similar masks at Woolworths for $40.
Mitre10 was selling packs of five N95 masks or 10 disposable masks, costing $25 and $15 respectively."
