Jezza, I think our chances will improve if we go in underdogs in this one. I hope the media talk up the Blues all week, pump them up for a big fall. One thing we do know about Collingwood over the decades is that we do our best work when the "experts" write us off.Jezza wrote: Carlton is a 50/50 game for mine, and the Fox commentators seem to suggest we will be underdogs particularly with Sidebottom returning to Melbourne. Would be great to finally level up the h2h record against them after nearly 40 years waiting.

Cox has to handle being edged under the ball he is too frail in contest.
Got to be leading up the ground and not in the square.
He has got to be the get out of trouble kick as opposed to going backwards
Half our team doesn’t even get their head up and look down the field, just look backwards dumping 15 metres....
Mayne is already living back in Perth!
Varcoe gone

Agree. We've always thrived on the underdog status.Monco Matt wrote:Jezza, I think our chances will improve if we go in underdogs in this one. Hope it's no different here.

"Collingwood eventually broke the shackles on Monday night, finding nine individual goal kickers in recording its highest score since round three. However, a reliable option in attack still evaded the Pies. Marking targets Mason Cox, Trey Ruscoe and Flynn Appleby all finished with goals on the night, but Collingwood finished the match with just three grabs inside 50."

What is the rumourCruisinwithdids wrote:Great to see Greenwood back. He set the physical standard early, proving his worth to the team. It would be interesting to hear if anyone knows the non football reason why Stevenson is not getting a game. I’ve heard a rumour But no idea if it’s true.

Lets be honest, 2 of their goals came from bad backline turnovers.
One of their goals came from a dubious goal referal.
The umpring was deplorable. Seriously.
It should have been a 7-10 goal win.
Greenwood, after a year out was brilliant. Well done Pig!
Moore was solid in defence, as was Maynard, Crisp and Roughy. Special mention to Madgen and Noble. Both showed they belong. I'm loving Noble's want to play on and run. More of this.
Pendlebury and Adams were up there for BOG. Lifted us when needed.
We're going to miss Sidey- he had some huge moments.
Coxy was good. People are going to focus on a couple of bad contests.
How about the good ones? Nice lead, mark, goal. A couple of good ball to ground contests. A great bump in the F50 that spilled the ball and that tackle when the roo tried to baulk him on the mark! It should have lead to a direct goal, though it was blown through a bad I50.

He got dropped for form then a minor leg injury kept him underdone in terms of training, then played in the scratch match v BrisbaneCruisinwithdids wrote:Great to see Greenwood back.
