He’s a great pick up and would be even better if we had some KPF quality around him.
What a wonderful comment and smart, astute observation - kudos to you! Spot on. I hadnt thought of it this way, you are so right to point it out.
Totally agree - I was a little concerned that his usual game may have been affected by his concussion issue, but he's as honest and brave as they come.
BTW. does the rookie list still exist? If so, surely he can no longer be a rookie, but there's never been any announcement from the club that he's been permanently elevated to the senior list????

People forget that he had a serious eye injury last year.
His games in first part of the year was played in the soaking wet.
........
Agreed, when the rest of the team steps up he just needs to make a contribution as he did today and he should get better as he gets more matches.

Just quietly two weeks in a row... Roos were completely scoreless in the second half last week. Only the four points for the filth today. Not bad, not bad at all.
Yes. They hit the front in 1982 and it's taken all this time to level it up again.
Carlton had a 14-win lead in 2002.
Still feels great ti finally level them.
If things go back to normal next year, we'll see if we play them twice. They are improving as a team tho, so hopefully we can win the next few and get a nice lead.
First half we were our own worst enemy with the blues making the most of their opportunities while we squandered ours.
What a 2nd half from Adams and Crisp! Pendles was pretty good all day and Daics is getting better with every game.
IQ will be a fantastic player, as will T.Brown, needs to our on some kg’s as he gets bundled off the ball a bit too easy, but have 100%. His older brother does his best work in and under, that handball from a pack that led to goal was great to see.
Won the arm wrestle of the 3rd qtr and blew them away in 4th. Can we please stop handballing to players under pressure or to their ankles, this will hopefully stop the fumbles that have plagued our team this season.
Cox played pretty well, was competing and played a better 2nd half also.
Must give props to JT his best game, reminded us of what he can bring to the team. Hope Mayne recovers fast, can be frustrating with his ball use but gives 100% when playing.
Great win!! Go Pies!!

Excellent observation.
Great effort by our defence today to strangle Carlton's forward line.
Just home from the game.
Can’t wait to watch the replay to see if Taylor Adams was truly as inspirational as he seemed. Cemented the captaincy in my mind. It’s not just in play itself. He has a spring in his step at the breaks and seems to be a motivator. Super impressed.

FWIW, and I might be mis-remembering his overall game, I said at half time it was the worst game I'd seen him play in defence of him (i.e., because he's usually so reliable). He had a better second half, but the fumbling, ineffectiveness, getting turned, getting beaten in one-on-ones, etc. were noticeable because they were uncharacteristic. But there you go.
Thanks for the seconder. Jack fumbled, spilt and shanked and sliced several disposals today. Did he improve as the game went on? Yes, but it was the efforts of Daicos, Adams, Moore, Quaynor, Grundy and Elliott that were critical to the victory.

How was the crowd? Was there over 10,000 fans in attendance?
Watching live at the ground must have been different then TV by reading some of the comments
Our best by a mile today was Adams. His pressure constantly on there mids was nothing short of incredible. He must have had 100 pressure acts and his hard at it approach scared there players they didn’t like the physical side of the game
Young Daicos is really starting to find his feet he run all day and his work on the wing was a big reason we won
IQ is going to be anything. He reads play very well and he worked hard through the middle all day to give team mates a option
That was Thomas best game in 12 months finally got his hands in it
Cox is much maligned here but watching love he straightens us up and he gets the ball to ground. Jones grabbed at him all day and they sent a extra defender his way all the time with ball in the air and he got it to ground for Stephenson and co to work off
Moore is a AA defender hands down
Maynard is a beast
Crisp is a awesome player and shows great ability to get to the right place at the right time
Checkers work off the ball to take defenders away from the contest shouldn’t be under estimated he’s a true team man
Pendles was good without being great but did a lot of work on Cripps when he went into the middle
Grundy didn’t have his best day and I watched him hard in the second half and he’s obviously carrying a groin or high quad injury. He wasn’t getting around the ground as normal and his leap was limited but he still tried hard which is a given for him. He needs a rest bad but we can’t afford him not to play
Tyler Brown will be a player when he gets used to AFL footy. Got lost a few times today ball watching but he has courage and very good hands
Sitting near a bunch of Carlton wankers who wanted a free given every time a scum player got tackled become very annoying very quickly. And at half time they started singing the team song saying it was over. I obliged by a hearty rendition of good ole Collingwood forever at the final siren as they left flipping me the bird
A good win but we need to be most consistent in our effort and improve our kicking in all areas of the ground

In regards was there more Collingwood supporters there than Carlton?
That’s just ridiculous to say. Crisp was one of our best. Everyone out there today were good apart from Cameron. Especially good to see Phillips play his best game for the year as did Mayne and Thomas. All three play at their best when their lives depend upon it. Other players can cruise away - not Phillips, Mayne and Thomas. Mayne even tooK one for the team against Cripps. If we’re going to defeat good teams without our best lineup the only way we can do it is play with desperation like the way we did today. Even though we didn’t score we broke Carlton’s spirit in the first several minutes in the third quarter. One more win in the next three weeks should see us play finals.
