Any thought of trading Stephenson after 3 years is unbelievably short sighted in my opinion and if any trade eventuates it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it ends up haunting a generation of Collingwood supporters.
Stephenson is simply to talented to just give up on after one poor season, he needs the opportunity to respond to the criticism and one would have to seriously question our clubs ability to deal with players who mightn't fit the mould.
We should be better than that, we need to be and I hope to God we prove it.

I agree. And since he had glandular fever in the off season, then the year that was covid, I think he deserves some slack.
Both him and Treloar will benefit from some belief, and that will come from, well I can’t say yet, but it will benefit the club enormously if it comes off. Getting rid of real actual AFL talent is just plain crazy. Both these players need the club to invest in them, can’t coach them? Find a way. That’s not on the players. Just like in schools it’s up to the teacher to find the way to make the student bloom.

You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
Not a severance of coaching staff post at all but why did both Treloar and Stephenson prosper (as others) in 2018 but are now sitting on a prospective severance from the club
Longmuir,Boyd and Hocking IMO had a positive effect on players which is at present not being replicated
An aggressive approach to that area is needed yes

According to Lloyd Stevo is done. That oppositions have worked him out and that in a couple of years time his career is over.
I'll call BS on that - recon that he is invested in a trade that would require him.
I for one would like to keep him, he will mature and be a better player for a quiet year scare.

Stupid comment from dive bomber Lloyd. Dumber than normal. If this was true the AFL would’nt have had any forwards being successful in the past as they would have been well and truly worked out

Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

I also believe he’ll be playing for Collingwood next year.
The Lloyd degrading of Stevo was long coming I suspect as he couldn’t wait to saw through him. It’s probably not a fair assessment on him but he did nothing this year to make us feel he’s on the right path for redemption or gratitude. Glandular fever or the black dog, which ever it is that has halted his development needs to be put to bed other wise we’ll be down a player next year who fast become our favourite son.
