But you could say that about any player in the league.burnsy17 wrote:He’s a required player blah blah until the right offer comes along....
A. A top 5 pick along with an upgrade of 2nd or 3rd round picks.Dave The Man wrote:But what is the Right Offer?
B. A gun player under 26.
We wont get either.

According to the Age:
Meanwhile, former rising star winner Stephenson has spoken with North Melbourne about a possible trade.
Stephenson is contracted to Collingwood but the club has been open to the idea of him looking elsewhere if it delivered them the right deal. Stephenson had initially insisted he wanted to remain at Collingwood and rediscover his best form but he agreed to speak with North this week and explore the option.
Stephenson has had a difficult past two seasons with a gambling suspension last year then glandular fever this year leading to a drop in his form. He was dropped late in the year.
Would North hand over pick.3? is that overs? pick 5 seems about right.... would people consider it (if hypothetical) North said here is pick.2? (3 after doggies bid).
Pick 3 could land Collingwood a very very good player.

In 2018, Stephenson was most exciting player I have seen in a long time, but since then he has done little to impress (apart from his growing number of tattoos)
If he remains at Collingwood, he needs to work hard to rebuild his slender 78kg 188cm body to compete in this game and maybe rekindle his confidence and potential.
If he is not prepared to build up, Collingwood needs to get best deal for him now!
Whatever happens, Stephenson's future is in his hands!

It is sliding doors. Yep Stephenson might yet be a greater player having a down year, but what IF Stephenson is no good?.....more then a few Rising Star's who went on to have less then amazing AFL careers:
- Rhys Palmer 2008 winner
- Danyle Pearce 2006 winner
- Lewis Taylor 2014 winner (yet to set the world on fire at his second club).
I don't know, I think if Collingwood got offered a pick inside the top 8. They would think long and hard. and rightly so.
The sky does not fall in, just because we lose a few players.
