The club might be able to spin their way to justifying the Treloar trade and I sense we the supporters are already half way to accepting it but they've totally misread the mood of our supporter base IMO if they believe they can pull that same sh*t twice and with Stephenson.
Oh and can we please stop blaming Ned Guy for everything.
Do we seriously believe the 18 senior AFL coaches would leave their fate and livelihoods in the hands of a list manager when it comes to decisions surrounding which players to trade and delist?
The decision to put Stephenson on the market would have only occurred with the blessing of one Nathan Buckley.
Direct your anger in his direction first before anyone else if Stephenson goes to North Melbourne.

Why would Stevo want to go to a dead beat club like Norf, really, and play in front of 8000 people at their pathetic home games.?? This is getting way way too ludicrous for me, first Treolar now this, this is just crazy house shit, no way should Stevo leave, sure he had a shit year, in a awful Hub season, like many AFL players, this is just getting utterly insane now, really. Done with this speculation shit, done.

A finger painting disaster
We should have offered Beams a far lesser payout, and stuck to our guns, he did bugger all for us on his return, nothing, zilch, nada. gave us nothing, this is just ludicrous, inane, by golly, me paying my membership is on very shaky ground now, very shaky indeed.

Dunno mate, i hope so too but honestly, at this point, the clubs shenaigans sound just like the **** going on inside the White House, in the last days of Trump. Just one total cockup after another, ive never known us to be so inept at Draft time, we seem to be adrift in a sea of total ineptitude.!

When is our "fearless" president going to grow some balls and either take ownership or point the finger for our major stuffups - ie
Management of the Treloar debacle
Paying contract overs for Phillips, Stephenson and those we don't know about
Poor leadership in the club (think Sidebottoms night out)
Poor player development (think Stephenson)
Poor recruitment Due Diligence (Beames and Wells)
Who will take ownership, the Coaches, the list Manager?, the recruitment team?
The Collingwood FC is a laughing stock at the moment with other clubs knowing we are in a salary club mess and therefore will be paying unders for any player the trade for.
Come on Eddie, stop being like Trump, concede we have stuffed up big time
and fix the mess.

I emailed the club and cancelled the auto-renew. I'll wait to see what packages they put together for 2021 and decide what to do.think positive wrote:16th of November, ill wait til tonight, but im considering dropping the level of my membership .while my daughter still attends i will too, but not much point paying for the GF ticket option if we trade out the talent, and get donuts in return.Raw Hammer wrote:Anyone know if/when member auto renew payments kick in?

I'll also be very pissed off if we trade out both Treloar and Stevo because of a tight salary cap

I cannot fathom why we are trading out a young talented player who we paid a first round pick for in return for a second round pick. Not only that, why are we paying him over 600k a year when he's only played 3 seasons of football? Surely young players must earn their way up the pay ladder. Whoever is responsible for player management and contracts needs to f*** right off. If he has off field issues then why can't we get them sorted? Is he beyond repair? All I can say is that they must be pretty serious or he is a lost cause or he has lost the support and respect of his peers. Either way this is one big monumental f*** up by all involved at the club and heads should roll. And to top it off we'll be paying for him to play at north. What a f***ing joke you are Collingwood.

My guess is that the conduct issues aren't being reported because they do not exist.
Stephenson spent a season in the hub - anything bad there would have been well known and leaked out. It didn't.
I take the same view about the Treloar "uncoachable" rumor. This is the same Treloar that, from memory, Bucklley coached as a 17 year old and thought that he was fantastic. Wasn't that one of the things Buckley talked about when we recruited him?
Both cases are a salary dump. Plain and simple. Trying to correct mistakes of the club administration.
