I recall the Tigers really wanted Treloar a few yrs back, if they knew he was up for grabs, why didnt they show interest in him NOW, for their team ?
Yeah, maybe, tho i still think some personal issues, of these players, that Collingwood wont divulge, played a part in the disinterest of major clubs. Theres much more in this that is being kept secret. Mr Myaggi might shed some light on it, i would say..

I expect its a big commitment on a player they didn't expect to be up for grabs. Cap space and the dicey prospect of an expensive player with issues would tarnish any deal. Treloar's money is a big commitment, simply by putting him up we're saying he might not be worth it.Piesnchess wrote:As ive said elsewhere, WHY was it only lowly Nth and the Dogs who were interested in these two, why werent the big clubs, Hawks, Dons, Blues, Cats, Eagles etc, why only low skint Nth, who dont have a coach, very few members, and the Dogs ? - I don't want to be PMed so if you do end up knowing please keep it to yourself. Knowing after the fact he's off the list makes it none of my business.
We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night
Honestly, it was the best option for both parties to part ways. Stevo will get a wake up call hopefully at North and grow up, Collingwood moves on to the draft and reflecting on how they could have handled the media better.
Sorry can’t pm anyone, I’m swamped! It’s nothing bad, no drugs or anything criminal. He was just an arrogant dick who learnt nothing from the betting scandal and who burnt too many bridges. Like I said, a trade was in both his and the club’s interests. When we see Bianco, Ruscoe, Rantall, Keane, Murphy and the next Daicos kid flying in the near future, we’ll have forgotten all about it.

So... did he engage the services of a lady-of-the-night whilst in the hub some months ago, like somebody implied on twitter? Or was this a wind-up?Mr Miyagi wrote:Sorry can’t pm anyone, I’m swamped! Yes, i well recall when Millane tragically died, and Daicos was forced to retire, i thought the club would not get over that for many seasons. But we did, we moved on, made Finals, we will get over this adversity, we do have some really good kids coming on, those u mentioned, and young Kelly too, and they say Daicos 3 is a gem, to join his very talented brother.

We made the finals in 1992, exhausted after falling over the line against the Crows at Vic park in round 24. Watch the full game on youtube.Piesnchess wrote: Yes, i well recall when Millane tragically died, and Daicos was forced to retire, i thought the club would not get over that for many seasons. Top of the ladder half way through 1993, then Norf and McAdam gate hit at Vic Park, and that was the season done.
Sells the farm to get Buckley; trades Starca and Lehmann, and the pick which nets Chris Scott, to Brisbane. We fall into 8th spot in 1994 [the first year of the final eight system]. We lose a classic final in WA.
Then from 1995-2001 we don't make finals, with idiot drafting under that useless **** merchant Judkins!
2002 with another rebuild commenced in 1999 we eventually make the final again.
It was eight seasons in the wilderness without a finals birth, in a 16 team comp with two less oxygen thieving unnecessary clubs, which nobody wanted, draining the first round talent pool.
Don't be surprised if another extended period in the cellar ensues.

Difference is Swanny put in the hard work at the club and treated people respectfully, and Taz pulled his head in at a new club and grew up.eddiesmith wrote:I doubt he is any worse than Tarrant or Swan or any other troublesome footballer we’ve kept. If Buckley gets rid of him because he’s got an attitude then clearly Buckley isn’t fit to coach a football club.

Plus some idiot put him on $600K after winning the rising star.5 from the wing on debut wrote:The length of his contract would be the obvious answer.Piesnchess wrote:As ive said elsewhere, WHY was it only lowly Nth and the Dogs who were interested in these two, why werent the big clubs, Hawks, Dons, Blues, Cats, Eagles etc, why only low skint Nth, who dont have a coach, very few members, and the Dogs ?
