Thanks for that, I've downloaded the report and I'll read it later, probably tomorrow afternoon. I've been tasked with a peace keeping mission to Sth Morang tomorrow morning
I'm not expecting much, some recommendations on how to do stuff better, the full report is due just before Christmas, timed perfectly so when the government is lashed with a wet lettuce leaf for it's incompetence, no one will care.
Be interesting to see whether it's a typical investigate yourself inquiry which will confirm that decisions were made by osmosis and no one is accountable, or they actually lay accountability somewhere. I know which one I'm expecting.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

The government granted an extension requested by the Judge. The twice elected Premier of Victoria had today as the initial day but agreed to an extension.stui magpie wrote:Thanks for that, I've downloaded the report and I'll read it later, probably tomorrow afternoon. It seems the then Health Minister stuffed up (Mikakos) as did Pakula from this position (not being au fait with the details)
The Government stuffed up by being beholden to the Police Union; they seem untouchable.
Having said that the Government has got on with it and done a marvellous job since as most of the State has and may the double donuts continue.

We’re all entitled to our opinions and votes (although not according to the fast losing POTUS)stui magpie wrote:Certainly may the double donuts continue, but my idea of a marvelous job would have been not $$%^%%$ up in the first place. Most incompetent government in the country.

It took a while. Her performance at the inquiry was gob-smacking. Incompetent (from the outside looking in)Pies4shaw wrote:https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-11-12/kym-peake-resigns-as-secretary-of-victorian-health-department/12877876
