It does make you wonder why if you worked in the hotels you would still go and visit your elderly mother

It reinforces the twice elected Premier of Victoria’s cautious approach to removing masks too early. One rule for all in the short term (going forward) makes sense.

Finally the twice elected premier of victoria has had a lesson in the laws of the country and found out to his shock that he cannot enforce laws on people in other states.

It's quite a concern someone can be elected as the premier of the state with such a lack of understanding about the laws governing the state and country.

You might want to revisit your response to reflect the facts and not your opinion:

The Premier Daniel Andrews is right again: keep ur masks on

Yes, a family outbreak where you don’t wear damn masks anyway! So Dans dopey rules wouldn’t have stopped shit there either!!!

But that’s ok, keep wearing your mask outside on your own with no one around for miles, you’ll be safe from the non existent virus and feel so good for being a good little sheep

This isn’t difficult even for rural Victorians: masks help prevent spread. We need to have one rule for all because there are too many d*ckheads who flout the rules, accordingly, it’s easier to police when there’s one set of rules.
Stop ur whining and whinging. Talk about being precious. I thought country people are meant to be tough and stoic, not little entitled petals where it’s about “me”

From the ABC blog:
Here's the latest from ABC reporter Ben Nielsen:

"We went to bed with just four new coronavirus cases in South Australia. Now there are 17."

"Of those, two aren't linked to the initial family that were announced yesterday.

"Two are linked to aged care. One is to a fast food restaurant. One is to a prison and one is a child at the school behind me.
"The school has been shut-down. You might be able to see behind me a couple of vans have rocked up for deep cleaning of that school campus. It is a preschool and primary school.

"That is out of an abundance of caution according to health authorities.

"Of course, they are monitoring the situation closely and have set up some pop-up clinics and are encouraging people to get themselves tested.

"They have put 90 people into quarantine from a hospital that one of the original cases visited. They also have shut down a number of other venues across Adelaide."
Victoria has declared Adelaide a COVID hotspot

Premier Daniel Andrews said anyone arriving from South Australia at Melbourne airport will be interviewed and may be required to undergo a rapid test.

He said state health authorities will have more details later in the day.

He also said Victoria will be ready to offer any assistance to South Australia.

got a friend in Horsham who went over the border for some fishing around Robe area (around March pre border lockdown), they saw his Victorian number plates and treated him like a leper (yelled at him to go home, threw rocks etc). He is loving this now.

Hopefully SA have learned from Victoria's fvckups and don't let this go wild. It's good that it's mostly one family so far.

This is what scares me and why I'll be setting up the bush house as somewhere I can work from remotely. At some point Victoria has to resume managing people flying in from overseas and I have little faith in them being able to do it successfully.
