Excellent news. He's one of the best operators in the business.

Also great to see a former premiership player working within the four walls of the club.

Best news since we won the flag in 2010.

Pre 2017, of course.

Scully, Patton, Jono Rourke, Impey, Mitchell, OMeara Wingard and traded away Burton in the process. Hardly a decent kid on their current list but to be fair they didn’t do much wrong during their dynasty. I wouldn’t forget Pelchans list management role during their early premiership success either.
I’m sure Wright will be a good appointment but he won’t turn the ship around on his own.

Concur with this for sure.
It used to grate on me when he was doing so well at the Hawks that he wasn't doing it for us!!! It didn't sit right  , so this is very welcome news.

Absolutely thrilled with this- I actually don't care that he played in a flag for us- what is critical is that he is highly respected within the industry for what he does.

I see it as a precursor of landing a new coach at the end of 2021- Clarkson would be great. I hope that Wright at least picks up the phone and has a chat with Dean Solomon for one of the assistant roles.

I am certain that Wright will implement a far more professional approach to salary/contract negotiations. Be ready to lose players who overrate their worth as a consequence, but Wright will be wise enough to make the right calls.

Feeling better about the direction the club is taking by the week...

Very positive news. Now we need to get the other two key appointments right, a new coach in 2022 and a new President

Ok, funny I thought we got rid of players getting paid more than they rated their worth last trade period and all hell broke lose.

Great News will bring some professionalism and hopefully install some mongrel into our list and help get a new head coach.
