Happy Australia Day
Happy Straya Day.
Hope you had a great day.
By the amount of traffic on the Hume earlier, lots of people went camping for a long weekend.

By the way, can anyone work out what's going on here? (Spotted outside a St Kilda pub on my lunch break.)

yet about 66% of those in the People's Republic of Melbourne want it changed.eddiesmith wrote:73% of indigenous Australians said they’re happy for Australia Day to remain
Seems the greenies are trying to tell people what they should be offended by again
Never mind, as everyone knows 75% of Polls are completely inaccurate and the other 37% are close.

It’s going to change as the old farts like Stui and Eddie still have their head in the sand.
Invasion Day / Survival day is not Australia Day. The younger generations will change it like they have with marriage inequality. They’re much more inclusive than a few conservative rednecks and dinosaurs and despite the right wing trolling of giving the religious bigot Margaret Court another award.
Change is gunna happen baby. Like Trump losing it’s happening baby, it’s happening. As sure as night follows day.

So we just change everything the professional protesters demand?
Over 70% of Aboriginals polled said they still think of Jan 26 as Australia Day, not invasion day. Of course the younger greenie crowd think differently, they always need something to bitch about. Give in here and they’ll just move on to the next issue they think needs changing.
Deciding it’s too hard is the same attitude police had to stopping the BLM protest, can’t upset anyone, how great did that turn out for Victorians?

Can you post a link to the poll you’re citing, Eddie? I couldn’t find it, but I did see this article from four years back, which found that 54% of Indigenous Australians wanted the date changed and that only 23% felt positive about the day: https://www.theguardian.com/australia-n ... poll-finds

Also, we need to add stripes to the stars and Union Jack of the Aussie flag so the world knows what a brave, independent nation really looks like!
Oh, and a silhouette of Tony Abbott's ears!
