^ Applying the same logic as to, say, child pornography, isn't it the fault of the people who watch tennis? If there was no market for it, no one would do it....

I think Dan should follow WPT's advice and immediately lock down the quadrant 50 km south and east of the CBD and make them all stay in their homes, no exceptions, until after the tennis is finished.

The South-east. Yup. They are all Liberal voters down that way anyway, so no harm done.

Exemption for the People's Republic of Hampton, please!

(For clarification, the People's Republic of Hampton is a single residence in the aforementioned locale that has seceded from the suburb and Bayside generally. It does not recognise Tim Wilson as its rightful leader, does not possess a boat and will be henceforth carrying out guerrilla activities not limited to the wearing of non-designer clothes and sabotaging lawn-bowling sites.)

However I see even the ABC spin doctor is questioning the overreaction to the UK variant given everyone keeps panicking and so far none of them have passed it on to anyone else...
How are the Nick's spin doctors going to somehow blame the Liberals for this one.
I’m sure it’s all because Gladys didn’t lockdown that this virus made its way to Victoria...

Oh Danny boy isn’t locking down? Disgraceful

Of that’s right, the tennis is on, Chinese New Year is next week and it’s Danny boys own electorate that is spreading the virus yet again.

Feel free to lock yourself down, eddiesmith, if you're worried.

Epidemiologist at the Burnet Institute, Professor Mike Toole said Why does this keep happening? The answer is that there is no national standard and a stubborn resistance to taking aerosol transmission seriously..

This is going to keep happening again and again until the aerosol transmission is taken seriously.

Professor Toole has analysed recent cases of breaches in hotel quarantine (in various states around the nation) and most were "clearly from aerosol transmission".

He called - yet again as experts have been pleading for this for ages - for the Federal Government to provide clear standards which require proper ventilation in quarantine facilities.

This business of locking hundreds of people up in stuffy, badly airconditioned city hotels with no opening windows is stupid. It's no bloody wonder some of them try to escape. (Prisons have better ventilation than these places.) And it's no bloody wonder that security staff and other workers - who all have to breathe the same air as the infected people - keep getting infected.

It has happened in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Western Australia, but Dutton (the responsible minister) and Morrison have done exactly nothing to fix it.

Lol, worried, too funny.

No what’s disgraceful is people celebrating Perth and Brisbane lockdowns because Danny boys approach is the only option and now Danny boy doesn’t even think lockdowns are necessary...

Where are those people saying lockdown is the only way? Very quiet today...

So masks are completely useless against aerosol transmission? Great, why are we wearing them again?

No Eddie. They help. They aren't the whole answer, just past of it. Do try to keep up.
